Online bus ticket reservation is alive in SETC.

People can bus tickets online from SETC's website http://www.tnstc.in/

The have also stared the mobile website for booking tickets from obile device, through http://m.tnstc.in

The E-booking & mobile booking helpdesk number is 044-25364656

Tickets can be booked only using Credit card.

SETC started Online Reservation System

This is really good news for public.

The days when people used to stand in long queues in SETC booking center has gone away. Now people can book SETC tickets online from their home.

This can be said as a revolution in the history of SETC.

Not all locations are added now in the Online booking system. But all major places are included.

SETC Ticket rate increased

Due to the heavy loss, SETC has increased the ticket rate rapidly.

The ticket raise ranges from Rs 10 to Rs 50.

Due to this price raise, people has moved away from SETC since the price is more or less equal to the private bus tickets.

The latest news from the employees of SETC is that SETC is running in great loss. But the management has not disclosed any information about this issue.

SETC Ltd.

SETC (State Express Transport Corporation) is a transport service provided by the government of Tamilnadu. SETC was previously called as Thiruvalluvar Transport corporation. SETC provides transport facility to almost all parts of Tamil Nadu. In addition, it runs into the major cities of Kerala, Karnataka and Andhra Pradesh. SETC is most liked by tamil people because it is very economical and safe. The ticket rates are half the price of other transport companies. It operates Super Deluxe (SD), Ultra Deluxe (UD) and Air Conditioned (AC) buses. All of the buses has video coach facility. SETC, currently donot have online ticket booking facility. But it is planning to introduce in the near future.
